The Sokkia Advanced Prism System was designed by the same engineers that designed Sokkia Total Stations.For the user that wants maximum distance and accuracy when using Sokkia Electronic Total Stations as well as other manufacturers. All distance specifications for Sokkia products are referenced to Advanced Prism System components.

The -40mm offset relocates the prism pivot point and minimizes the angular error caused when the prism is not pointed perfectly at the instrument; the errors are particularly present in close- range sighting. Both horizontal and vertical angle accuracy are improved.

Longer, more accurate distances are attained. This new design and improved coatings eliminate polarization and back scattering.
