Sokkia RTK GPS has been around for years but always needed the more expensive L1 L2 dual frequency receivers to get a centimeter position. The NEW Sokkia GSR1700 CSX utilizes the GPS and GLONASS satellites to give you a more robust fix in areas that you could not track before. Providing surveying grade accuracy at about 1/2 the price of the L1 L2 systems. Your advantages of RTK is for real time information, you see your locations while collecting and for locating a point in centimeter accuracy. (Setting out). You know that you have the points before leaving the field. We recommend the Sokkia MINI  Archer controller with Carlson SurvCE or Carlson CSI Mobile.
